Meet Downtown Toronto Chiropractor, Rosanne Metz

Since 1998, Dr. Rosanne Metz has delivered high-quality chiropractic care to Downtown Toronto families wishing to optimize their health. At Park Road Healing Arts we welcome everyone from weekend warriors and teachers to business professionals and those in the creative arts. We emphasize a multi-disciplinary approach to wellness, including neurofunctional acupuncture, massage therapy and naturopathy.

A Passion for Helping Others

Dr. Metz earned an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction in biology with a specialty in psychology. This was followed by 4 years of study at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, from which she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1998, graduating first in her class. Her love for her profession has also resulted in multiple memberships in chiropractic and acupuncture organizations: the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Alliance for Chiropractic and the Canadian Contemporary Acupuncture Association. She was an examiner with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board for more than 10 years.

“I’ve wanted to be a doctor since I was five years old. In every childhood game I played, I was always the one helping others as the doctor!”

Her strong kinesthetic sense has served her well in her chiropractic practice, and one of her greatest joys is “taking care of a small group of people over a long period of time”. Her passion for helping others extends to building relationships with those she serves. Her wish for her practice members is for them to feel cared for, connected to and to be understood.

We’re Not Limited by the Architecture of Our Spines

Over her career, Dr. Metz’s curiosity and thirst for learning led her to numerous visits to established chiropractic offices. Her goal is to expose herself to different techniques, a practice she still subscribes to today!

“In the beginning of my career, I had no idea what was possible through skillful chiropractic care.” Even those patients, who on the surface looked very challenging, managed to make remarkable improvement in mobility and function while practice members who on X-ray demonstrated osteoarthritic damage, often managed to feel better and be better.

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned in my almost two decades of practice is that we are not limited by the architecture of our spines.

Time Outside the Office

Dr. Metz is a lifelong learner, and spends time at seminars and workshops whenever possible. She’s also passionate about walking, and treks to and from work every day, a round-trip total of 90 minutes. While covering ground, she listens to leading-edge podcasts on subjects near and dear to her heart: science, philosophy, nutrition and wellness. Her current playlist includes the Tim Ferris Show, Tony Robbins, How I Built This, Freakonomics, Radiolab, Design Matters and My Practice Rules.

She’s also a multi-media artist, enjoying the delicate balancing act of creativity and productivity. She and her partner enjoy travel and nature, and the parenting of her son, Oliver, is her number one priority.

We encourage you to take the time and effort to invest in your well-being. We care deeply about our patients and want to earn your trust. If what we have sounds like a good fit, please contact us for a convenient appointment with your trusted Downtown Toronto Chiropractor, Rosanne Metz!
